M Street Entrance Renovation Completed at St. Vincent de Paul
We’re excited to share that the renovation of the M Street entrance at St. Vincent’s is now complete! (For pictures click here)
This entrance, once the main access to our parish offices and the church sanctuary, had fallen into disuse over the years as the parish office relocated to the back of the building. As a result, the M Street side had become neglected. The fencing was damaged and no longer secure, the garden area was overgrown, and the entire façade lacked the welcoming presence we strive to offer.
Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to bring new life to this historic entryway through a multi-phase improvement project:
Phase One focused on safety. The old, vandalized fence was removed and new posts were securely mounted in concrete, creating a more stable and open space.
Phase Two transformed the overgrown garden into a paved, clean welcome area. We also repainted the windows and doors to better match the church’s exterior and repaired any window damage to prevent future leaks.
Phase Three enhanced the entrance’s appearance at night with new lighting that adds both beauty and visibility.
Phase Four sealed cracks in the pavement and applied a fresh topcoat to create a polished, unified look across the entire area.
This small but meaningful project brings new dignity to the M Street side of our parish and provides a safer, more inviting space for all.
Thank you for your generosity and continued commitment to improving our parish home. We look forward to many more enhancements in the months to come.
In Christ,
Fr. Michal
