Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith? Do you feel God inviting you to take the next step toward becoming Catholic, or completing your Sacraments of Initiation? The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process through which adults come to know Jesus Christ, grow in faith, and enter fully into the life of the Catholic Church.
Whether you are unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or a baptized Catholic who has not yet received First Communion or Confirmation, OCIA is for you. Our parish family is here to walk with you on this journey of faith.
OCIA is not just a “class” but a gradual process of conversion and discipleship. The journey includes several stages:
Inquiry (Pre-Catechumenate) – A time to ask questions, explore the Catholic faith, and discern God’s call in your life.
Catechumenate – A period of more intentional formation in Scripture, prayer, and the teachings of the Church.
Purification and Enlightenment – A season of deeper spiritual preparation, especially during Lent, leading up to the Sacraments at Easter.
Mystagogy – After Easter, a time to reflect on the mysteries you have received and grow in living as a Catholic disciple within the parish community.
Our parish OCIA gatherings are held every Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room (located in the parish office area). These evenings include prayer, discussion, and fellowship as we grow together in faith.
If you or someone you know is interested in beginning this journey, we invite you to register.
